GOT LUBE?! | SEX& CANNA | by Sheni Martinez

Lubricants are a fun element that enhances the pleasure of any intimate encounter. Their use isn't limited to treating dryness that affects the enjoyment of intimacy. The different lubricant options available offer a range of sensory experiences, from warming and cooling sensations to varying levels of friction and even cannabis infusion.

We distinguish them by their base:

Water-based

Recommended for manual stimulation, vaginal and anal penetration. It is best suited for use with sex toys and barrier condoms. Its sensation is similar to the body's natural lubrication. Its water-based formula allows for easier absorption by the skin. For this reason, its lubrication is not as long-lasting.

Silicone Base

It is distinguished by its high level of lubrication and water resistance. Because the body does not easily absorb it, it is more durable and substantially reduces friction. It is highly recommended for manual and anal stimulation. It is not recommended for use with silicone-based instruments because it may weaken them.

Hybrid Base (Water + Silicone)

It combines the attributes of both bases for a longer-lasting, more natural lubrication. It provides the glide of a water-based formula and the staying power of a silicone one. Because it contains silicone, it is not recommended for use with silicone instruments.

Some lubricants offer a warming or cooling sensation to intensify sensory pleasure. Flavored varieties add spice to oral sex. There are so many options that you deserve to take the time to find your favorite. It's very important to note that lubricants containing glycerin and/or sugars can cause vaginal yeast infections. They should not be used vaginally or anally. Some lubricants that warm or cool upon contact may contain ingredients that can cause irritation in some people. Before using any new lubricant, I recommend applying a small amount to the inside of your arm, where your skin is more sensitive. If you don't have a reaction after 10 minutes, you can start exploring other areas.

CANNASEXOLOGY TIP:

Cannabis lubricants offer a unique and relaxing experience. They are primarily absorbed through the membranes, so it's best to apply them and wait a few minutes for them to take effect. Users report a heightened level of relaxation and increased sensitivity, leading to greater pleasure and more intense orgasms. THC lubricants are available in various bases, so enjoy the variety of options... responsibly.
