How do distributed, centralized, and decentralized networks work?

In the digital world, networks are the fundamental basis for the exchange of information on the internet. Currently, there are different types of networks, including distributed, centralized, and decentralized networks, each with significant differences in structure and operation.
Centralized networks are those in which information is stored on a server controlled by a single entity. This model is commonly used in social networks, instant messaging applications, and payment methods. Examples include Facebook, WhatsApp, Athmovil, and PayPal.
On the other hand, decentralized networks do not have a centralized server, and information is distributed across multiple nodes in the network. This allows information to be available to all network participants without the need for a central authority. Examples include Decentraland, OpenSea, Ethereum, and Bitcoin.

Finally, distributed networks are those in which information is shared among multiple nodes. In this model, all nodes are equal and have the same data processing and storage capacity. Examples include cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive, and AWS.
Each type of network has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the choice will depend on the needs of each situation. Centralized networks are easier to control and manage, but offer less security, while decentralized and distributed networks offer greater security, autonomy, and privacy.
