Entrepreneur, Mother, and Cannabis Woman. By: Healing Zone Humacao

As a businesswoman, mother, and cannabis woman from the town of Humacao, there are many challenges and experiences, including running a childcare center where I had to care for children with different health conditions, including children with autism.

Seeing how these devoted parents had to fight alongside their children every day and explore the alternative of medicinal cannabis to give these children a better quality of life, and also drawing on my experience in the health field, studying and learning that cannabis is an alternative for many conditions.

With a vision of providing health and a better quality of life, Healing Zone opened its first dispensary in the town of Humacao on May 24, 2021, and subsequently opened its Caguas dispensary on June 4, 2021. Today, Healing Zone has its own cultivation, manufacturing, and transportation company.

My main interest in the cannabis industry is providing an alternative for various health conditions. Having realized this in the four years we've been in the industry, and since Healing Zone was founded in 2019, I can attest that there are many challenges to being in this industry, and there are still many taboos surrounding the use of medicinal cannabis.

There is still much work to be done in this industry, where many opportunities for growth remain. Understanding that it is a great achievement for women to excel, we can demonstrate that a large industry, led mostly by women entrepreneurs, can showcase our skills and discipline when we unite.

As a woman, I feel we are breaking paradigms in an industry that is generally dominated by men. We are making a difference. My daughter, Gabriela Estefania, at 24 years old, is currently the manager in Humacao, demonstrating the confidence and commitment that the industry demands when educating patients about products and dosages for better results.

At Healing Zone, we have a diverse group of professionals to provide the best care to our patients. We are also developing a wide variety of strains, including MARAKA (our house strain), to offer the best quality and variety of flowers and products to our patients, who are our reason for being.
