Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well. For this edition, I decided to talk about something that affects more than 366 million adults worldwide. In case you didn't know, October is ADHD Awareness Month; a topic that's very close to my heart since I have ADHD and autism spectrum disorder, and frankly... it's still a HEAVY daily struggle for me.
Luckily, one day I decided to seek help for the chaos in my life caused by untreated ADHD since childhood, so I educated myself well on the subject, consulted with several doctors and other experts in the field and found something that inspires creativity while regulating my emotions, appetite, and my Zzz patterns... among other things, and with few side effects: CANNA.
Here are some tips that (in combination with psychotherapy) have helped me with the "dark side" of having a different, unique brain... but sometimes difficult to adapt to in a neurotypical world:
PRACTICAL WAYS TO USE CANNA FOR ADHD:
1. Microdosing: Using small doses of cannabis can be therapeutic without the unwanted effects that can come with high consumption.
2. Use of cannabis oil: Oils are a popular option that allows for precise dosage control and often initiate effects faster.
3. Establish a routine: Integrating the use of cannabis into a regular schedule can help maximize its benefits, improving consistency in attention and concentration.
Reminders before consuming it:

1. DESIGN YOUR EXPERIENCE:
• Go for the “minor cannabinoids”: CBD, CBG and CBN are your strong buddies for a balanced and effective consumption.
Some effective combos are:
- CBD + (low dose) THC = anxiolytic during the day, at night it helps with rest.
- (Low dose) CBD + (high dose CBG) + Vitamin B12 and Lion's Mane during AM = focus and energy during the day.
- CBG + Lion's Mane = “mood booster”, stress relief.
- CBN = for appetite affected by some stimulant medications and helps with Zzzzz.
• Look for flowers with limonene, pinene, and caryophyllene for AM consumption; low THC.
2. “Experiences may vary”: Not everyone with ADHD has the same characteristics or experiences the same difficulties. Therefore, it's important to remember that cannabis DOES NOT ALWAYS work for everyone; each person uses it according to their needs, or not at all: It's a personal decision that should be made after carefully studying your clinical picture and consulting with your doctor.
To all my "GREEN Neurodivers" who are lost between loneliness and despair: I understand you... I'm here for you. Dare to connect with more neurodivergent people like me; it's essential to find supportive communities that can also help you.
I love you all! Cannacoach, OUT!
