GREEN TIPS WITH A SPRING SCENT By: Vero Vero

Hey cannabis lovers! I hope everyone is doing well! I'm bursting with 5 tips to help you maximize your cannabis experience this beautiful spring:

• Adjust your dosage according to the weather: During spring, the temperature can vary significantly from day to day (a real head-scratcher, I know). Cannabis can affect your body differently depending on the temperature and humidity levels in the air we breathe. If you're using a new strain or product, start with a lower dose than you normally use and adjust it based on how you feel.

Sing with me: “Des-pa-citooo…”

• Consider changing your consumption method: Do you normally smoke your buds? Well, I remind you that smoking cannabis in Puerto Rico is still prohibited by law and contraindicated for medicinal use (combustion destroys organic matter, including the precious terpenes that modulate the effects and our overall experience), and even more so if it's in tobacco leaves or treated papers.

During spring, pollen and other allergens can affect the lungs, especially if you already suffer from respiratory conditions like me. Consider switching to a less invasive method (such as steaming or using tinctures). Be sure to regularly clean your steaming utensils and/or equipment to prevent the buildup of residue that can irritate your lungs and throat.

• Stay hydrated: WATER IS YOUR BFF, CANNACORI! The heat is already here, and increased physical activity can lead to dehydration. Cannabis use (especially excessive use) could worsen this and even cause future kidney damage. Make sure to drink plenty of water and other fluids before taking your medication to avoid feeling faint and experiencing other uncomfortable and unnecessary symptoms.

• Choose cannabis products that suit your spring lifestyle. If you're going to be more active, consider products with a higher percentage of CBD, as this can help reduce muscle pain and inflammation (it also works wonders for spring cleaning). If you want to take it easy during spring break, you can try a 1:1 THC/CBD ratio or flowers high in myrcene, linalool, and beta-caryophyllene, and avoid mixing THC with alcohol (we've talked about this before)... so... DON'T GET TOO CRAZY!

• Respect other people's space: During spring, many people enjoy the outdoors and all that Mother Earth provides. If you plan to consume food in open spaces, please ensure it is done responsibly and respectfully (it's important that there are no children around and try to do so in designated areas).

FYI: Don't try to do it outside your home or designated areas, as public consumption is still illegal on the island and you could be arrested (let's avoid embarrassing situations). It's also important to remember that not everyone likes the smell of cannabis, so consider using products without strong odors or vapor when you're with or near those people.

I hope these GREEN TIPS are helpful, my Easter bunnies. Always remember to consume your cannabis medicine responsibly and legally. Be good!
