THE INFLUENCE • THE VOICES OF CANNABIS IN PUERTO RICO

Social media has become an integral part of daily life for most people, whether as viewers, businesspeople, models, bloggers/influencers, and more. It encompasses diverse topics worldwide, divided by shared interests across various cultures. Within the cannabis culture of Puerto Rico, there's a community we call "The Influence." This group, both directly and indirectly, educates the public—patients and non-patients alike—about the benefits of cannabis, how to use cannabis products, and patient events. They often help clarify doubts and make informed decisions to improve their quality of life.

While legal for medicinal purposes, the plant remains illegal at the federal level until such time as this changes. Therefore, existing laws restricting the marketing of cannabis still apply, leading to the search for alternative legal methods. Influence is vital to the cannabis industry, and through personal experience, we can appreciate the hard work of each individual in conveying the message of the mental, physical, and spiritual health benefits of responsible cannabis use. Here are some of those we were able to reach, contact, and gain access to, but we know there are many more whom we hope to meet someday. We had a wonderful time with our friends at La Factoría in Old San Juan and its magical streets steeped in history. Thank you to everyone who collaborated, showed up, and gave their time to make this happen.
