When Life Asks Us to Be Reborn
Amid Retrogrades, Endings, and New Beginnings

There are times when life seems to stand still while everything around us keeps moving. Times when what we thought was stable begins to change, our certainties fade, and we find ourselves facing paths we never imagined we would take.
Curiously, this period coincides with significant astrological movements. Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, Venus retrograde, and other planets moving through similar cycles invite us, from a symbolic perspective, to take a closer look at our relationships, priorities, and the things we need to transform. Scorpio, a sign associated with transformation and rebirth, reminds us that closing chapters can also mean evolving.
Psychology tells us that major changes can bring uncertainty, sadness, and a sense of loss. We grieve not only when we lose someone, but also when a chapter ends, a routine disappears, or we leave behind places where we built relationships and a sense of belonging.
We live in a society that constantly expects us to be strong, productive, and resilient. Yet true resilience doesn’t mean pretending nothing affects us. It means allowing ourselves to feel, process our emotions, and find new ways to move forward.
Sometimes we stay in familiar situations because they make us feel safe, even when we’ve stopped growing in them. At other times, life brings changes we would never have chosen. And although the process can be painful, it can also open doors to opportunities we couldn’t have imagined before.
During these transitions, caring for our mental health is essential. Practicing self-compassion, seeking support, connecting with our spirituality, and returning to what gives us a sense of purpose can help us regain our emotional balance.
Perhaps the real lesson is understanding that we don’t need to have all the answers right away. We can feel afraid and still hold on to hope. We can miss what we’ve left behind while also opening ourselves to new possibilities.
Not every ending is a defeat. Not every pause is a step backward. And not everything we lose means we’ve lost our way. If you’re going through a difficult time today, give yourself permission to feel, heal, and rebuild at your own pace.
Because your story doesn’t end when a chapter closes. Sometimes, that’s exactly where the extraordinary begins.
