With an industry still teetering like a baby learning to walk, a Health Department in complete disarray, using the cannabis director position as a political stepping stone, placing people who know as much about cannabis and its industry or processes as Donald Trump knows about living in poverty, and a coterie of inspectors who look like they were plucked from

ADT gave them a half-hour "training" and then let them loose to issue licenses and hand out fines like crazy.
Only one reliable laboratory, again due to a lack of oversight by the Department of Health. And the mistreatment of small businesses and those who aren't "friendly" (don't ever think there's corruption or money involved to get them better treatment...).
A department that visits the one in Carolina or San Juan six times a year, but only once the one in Mayagüez or Rincón. Inspectors who congratulate you during an inspection, grant you a license or renewal, and then, when they return the following year, with the operation and the location exactly the same, tell you that everything is wrong, that you have to build new walls and even change processes (the same inspector who congratulated you on that same operation and granted you the license a year ago).
Meanwhile, the big players are doing dirty work, giving away marijuana and buying it out from the small ones. In short, the government and our own people have turned this industry into a real mess. Therefore, and with deep sorrow in my heart, I am announcing that I am no longer part of the industry as a farmer or as an owner. I will always support the plant and the humane treatment of patients, but I no longer want to be subjected to scrutiny and, at the same time, insulted by people who know nothing about the subject.
For these and many more reasons, I believe in home growing. Therefore, from this platform, I will be providing a simple yet practical guide for those who can do it, while also sharing information about our upcoming ventures. Thank you for reading, and stay tuned to share our new growing adventures with us.
