ZULMI SIERRA - Entrepreneur, Creative and Cannabis Woman by Patricia Ramirez

Zulmi Sierra is a creative and persevering woman. She's always planning her next steps and future plans. In the past, she had the opportunity to work in various manufacturing companies, which allowed her to explore this world and fall in love with it. So much so, that today she has her own manufacturing business. This has given her the opportunity to discover the passion for creativity that lives within her. She enjoys the entire process, from product making to the branding that each item will have to promote it.

In the past, she owned a business that introduced her to the world of chocolate, and for her, it was perfect to be able to medicate herself by consuming chocolate and avoid all the processes, smells, etc., that can come with consuming cannabis in other ways. Her passion for creating different pastries was so great that she enjoyed making them in the comfort of her home to share with friends.

As a lover of cannabis and its benefits, Zulmi had been experimenting with it for years, and when she was given the opportunity to have her own business, coming up with a name was very easy. She mostly works making sweet products, so calling it DULCE VIDA (Sweet Life) felt very simple and natural.

Zulmi tells us that after a year of planning and developing her business plan, she decided to put it into action and began searching for a location. This proved quite easy; she only needed to see the first place she found to make her decision. Then everything started moving quickly until the pandemic hit, bringing all her plans to a halt.

It arrived just the week they were starting construction of the premises. By May 2020, when they began receiving certain permits to work, including those for construction, they resumed their plans and efforts for the opening of their factory, DULCE VIDA.

Her first product line is UMA Chocolate, born from her interest in and need to care for Mother Earth. She firmly believes that caring for our planet is important, necessary, and everyone's responsibility. This is why UMA stands for "Una Madre Tierra" (One Mother Earth). With this in mind, the product was developed entirely with the intention of caring for our planet, using biodegradable materials. She designed the logo, which features a diamond representing the Earth, and the inner packaging is meant to resemble a gold ingot.

Based on her past experience in the industry, she recognized the need to guide patients regarding dosage. This is why UMA's inner packaging includes an explanation of the product and its different dosages, allowing patients to understand and use it from the comfort of their own homes. At Dulce Vida, patient well-being and safety are paramount, and that's why they pay attention to every detail.

PURO THC is the second brand she has developed, a brand focused on cooking. Its first product is olive oil. This entire line is vegetarian. She is very proud and happy with this brand, as she has witnessed the significant benefits it has provided to many people. The line includes: Olive Oil, Honey, Pancake Syrup, and the newest addition, Berry Jelly.

Then she developed EXOTIK, a French dessert created centuries ago to preserve fruit during the winter months. It's a real fruit puree flavored with raspberry, blueberry, and blood orange; "this is people's favorite, that citrusy touch," Zulmi explains.

Zulmi likes to see the positive side of things, which is why she has sought to leverage her femininity to her advantage in an industry often perceived as male-dominated. Ultimately, what matters is developing quality products, and women will always contribute their part to making great ideas a reality.

She is one of many women who have succeeded in this industry; “We invite you to stay tuned to Dulce Vida and its new products, we are going to continue growing,” Sierra concluded.
