CARDIO

Before or after training?

Cannafitt here, my people!

Today we're going to talk about cardio. When is it better, before or after a workout? As a personal trainer, I always suggest doing 30 minutes of cardio after your workout.

Ah, Cannafitt, why not before? Simple, because when you do cardio at the beginning your body is mostly burning insulin (sugar, energy), and when you go to your workout you might not get the most out of it, because you've already burned your insulin, which provides the energy and motivation to do weight training.

So you're not going to see better results.

Ah, but Cannafitt, why do they say it's better to run on an empty stomach?

It's simple: remember that your body went a long time without food while you slept, so insulin levels are low and concentrated in the body's glucose, which is the main source of energy for humans. Glucose is obtained from the food we eat and is transported by the bloodstream to all the cells in the body, where it is used for energy.

Excess glucose is stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen. Therefore, when you do fasted cardio, you can burn more calories, and if you take a dose of THC beforehand, without any fat in your system, it will help make your performance and concentration a bit more effective and enjoyable. The advantage is that when you finish, due to cannabis consumption, your appetite will increase dramatically, which helps people who have trouble getting hungry quickly.

Now, if you're going to the gym, my recommendation is to do cardio after your workout. Why? You've already used up all your body's insulin, leaving only glucose. That's why feeling tired after training is normal; it's your body telling you it's used up all its energy. Few people realize that this is precisely when you should take advantage of the opportunity to do cardio, especially if you're trying to lose weight or improve your performance.

That's all for now, Cannafitt. I love you all, I hope this helps you a lot, see you next time.
